Bananaquit House is 5 minutes from Anse Chastenet beach and its famous PADI dive-centre. The town of Soufriere, the old French capital of the island, is a 10 minute drive away. Driving in St. Lucia is not for the faint-hearted as the roads are poorly maintained. If hiring a car, a four-wheel drive is strongly recommended. See the beaches
